SPECTRA – Smart Emission-Free Transport Solutions
SPECTRA, Smart Personal Emission-Free Transport focuses on revolutionizing urban mobility by integrating advanced technologies to reduce congestion and envisonmental impact. The project aims to develop a model incorporating cutting-edge solutions for greener urban travel.
What is SPECTRA?
The project seeks to achieve an improvement in urban mobility by decreasing congestion and impact on the environment with the construction of a model that incorporates a wide range of technologies.
SPRECTRA Objectives
The objective of the project is to investigate how the vehicle connected to infrastructures is highly efficient, thanks to the technologies and new materials used, contributing to a greener mobility in the city of the future, with the following purposes:
- To investigate in technological areas that allow to improve urban mobility in several fields:
- Vehicles for personal use more adapted to the reality and functionality in a city, and more efficient.
- Efficient charging infrastructure
- Vehicle-city connectivity as a support to improve mobility.
- Analyze the possibilities that can be offered by ICTs integrated with citizens, infrastructures and urban vehicles to provide solutions to real problems of city dwellers.
- Strengthen the national value chain in the automotive field, associated electric infrastructure and connectivity solutions that allow:
- Acquire differential capabilities and technologies, with high added value, to improve its international positioning.
- Improve its competitiveness for highly demanding markets
Role of ITCL in SPECTRA project
ITCL’s role within the large consortium is to create together with AYESA the design of intelligent algorithms to support the design of solutions to real problems and to create standardized interfaces for consumption and operation in the city of the future for application in connected vehicles.
Together with Sofitec, it will be in charge of the development of ultralight bodies for urban micro-vehicles, optimizing the performance of micro-vehicles for urban personal transport. ITCL collaborates in the multicriteria analysis activities together with the Polytechnic University of Madrid. For this purpose, it will carry out a study of different types of self-supporting bodywork in composite materials for electric micro-vehicles and the associated production processes.
ITCL will work with FAGOR in the development of the energy optimization algorithm, based on driving, for the new electronic systems of the vehicle. In the part of Smart Communication 2.0 in the electric vehicle, it will develop communication systems integrated in the vehicle. It will select the most appropriate protocols to the application for V2V communications and its integration in the smart city. For the management of these communications by the user, a Smartphone application will be created.
On the other hand, it will be responsible for the recognition of charging patterns in low voltage smart electrical installations for electric vehicle charging under IEC 60364 and IEC 61890-2 standards for communication between the charging pole and the vehicle based on wireless or induction technology.
