AI4SwEng – AI Engineering Suite to support Agile Efficient Software Engineering
AI4SWEng is a European project developing an innovative AI-based tool suite to support the entire lifecycle of agile, efficient, and secure software development. This AI Engineering suite integrates AI-powered tools that optimize the software development pipeline, from requirement analysis and data generation to architectural planning, code development, debugging, and automated testing. The project focuses on improving system efficiency, reliability, security, and energy efficiency in multi-architecture systems, while ensuring compliance with ethical standards such as AI-ACT. Through its advanced AI Engineering suite, AI4SWEng is tackling the increasing complexity of modern software systems and promoting agile, energy-efficient development practices.
Problem it solves:
AI4SwEng addresses the growing need for intelligent tools to enhance agile and efficient software development. With increasing complexity in modern software systems and advanced computing architectures, the project delivers AI-based solutions that optimize the entire development lifecycle: from requirements analysis and code generation to automated testing, debugging, security, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
General Objective:
To develop an AI-based software engineering tool suite that enhances productivity, reliability, security, and energy efficiency in agile development environments and multi-architecture systems.
Specific Objectives:
- SO1: Enhance development-time analysis and software architecture operation.
- SO2: Drive requirements engineering and code generation with generative AI.
- SO3: Ensure functional compliance, traceability, and auditable AI use.
- SO4: Integrate security and privacy protection by design (AI-by-design).
- SO5:Train developers to optimally use AI tools for agile software development.
