EIFEDE Ecosystem – Boosting Energy with AI and Data

Project Description:

The EIFEDE project is an energy innovation initiative aimed at transforming the sector through the use of data and advanced technologies, enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs and fostering collaboration in the energy field.

The main goal of the EIFEDE group is to promote a favorable environment for business innovation, focusing on the development and implementation of enabling technologies within the energy sector. EIFEDE, composed of research centers, aims to strengthen collaboration among them, creating synergies to address specific challenges and contribute to the transformation of the economy. The core objective is to overcome barriers limiting access to advanced technologies, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), thus driving the development of the technological business ecosystem in the energy field.

The project is structured around several action lines, including the creation of a joint brand, the definition of national technological challenges, the joint development of new technologies, and the acquisition and optimization of research infrastructures. Through these actions, EIFEDE aims to generate positive economic impacts with a particular focus on the energy sector.

Main Objective:

The overall goal of the project is to enhance innovation and competitiveness in the energy ecosystem, led by ANESE, by incorporating data-driven and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to boost competitiveness in the new Data Economy.

ITCL’s Objectives in the Project:

Facilitate training and knowledge exchange.
Advance competencies in regulatory, normative, and ethical aspects of AI to facilitate transfer to the innovation ecosystem.
Deliver regulatory training courses for participants to acquire up-to-date knowledge of regulations and standards in the technological field.
Consolidate collaboration with knowledge centers within the ecosystem.
Encourage transnational cooperation.
Promote business training for professionals in the network.
Design and implement business training programs focused on enhancing entrepreneurial and strategic skills in the use of advanced technologies.

ITCL’s planned tasks in the EIFEDE project:

1. Specialized Training for EIFEDE Professionals:

A specialized training will be conducted, offering an ambitious program that, combined with knowledge, skills, and experience, will provide professionals participating in the work program a better understanding of the needs of the industrial sector.

2. Advanced training for professionals and technicians from various companies to bring artificial intelligence closer to their field of action:

The training aims to bring AI and its numerous techniques, tools, and applications closer to the business sector. A hybrid approach will be used, combining in-person and online training, with courses delivered by prominent speakers and professionals in the field, with special participation from EIFEDE partners.

3. Specialized Webinars on AI Regulation and Ethics:

A series of webinars will be launched to articulate all regulatory, normative, and ethical aspects to promote initiatives that delineate and guide the design of artificial intelligence, ensuring that the resulting applications respect citizens’ rights. In this area, transnational collaboration with experts will be sought to provide a unique learning experience.

4. Training to Improve Business in AI:

Different training areas will be conducted to consolidate the services that AI can offer to the innovation ecosystem, improving the skills of EIFEDE professionals dedicated to technology transfer in business management fields, and providing an innovative learning model based on practice and teamwork with mentors from the network.
