The Fire Support Training Simulator SECUSIM provides an innovative solution for training in indirect fire support systems. This advanced system leverages virtual reality and 3D simulations to improve training effectiveness and reduce costs.
A training system for the use and application of indirect fire support systems
NATIONAL PROJECT
File: TSI-100103-2014-174
An electronic solution for training and learning in virtual environments. This development has the support of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
This project, launched in January 2014, aims at developing an electronic solution for training and learning in virtual environments. This system will facilitate training in the use of indirect fire support systems, thanks to real action and mission simulators.
The application of this new system to train operatives rules out the use of real materials and will significantly reduce the training and logistic costs.
A range of different technologies are being used to develop SECUSIM such as graphic information, virtual reality, sensing systems and information systems in order to develop its features through a graphical interface.
This project has the support of the Technological Institute of Castilla y León.
The 3D virtual systems development project for the safety and defence training under the TSI-100103-2014-174 reference number has been co-financed by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, within the National Scientific Investigation, Development and Technology Innovation Plan 2013-2016.
