VALIA – Development of Data Space Use Cases in the Value Chain of the Aeronautical Auxiliary Industry

VALIA is a project that promotes the digital transformation of the aeronautical auxiliary industry through the development of a shared and federated Data Space. Its aim is to improve collaboration between manufacturers, suppliers and customers by optimising the supply chain, increasing operational efficiency and strengthening the sector’s competitiveness through secure data sharing and the use of digital technologies.

Key Benefits and Impact

The project will develop a pilot shared and federated Data Space connecting customers and suppliers within a family of airport equipment. This will improve the operational efficiency of the participating organisations, as well as aspects related to quality assurance of delivered products, predictive incident analysis and, consequently, proactive maintenance.

It will also support the company’s digital transformation through the implementation of a pulse production model, increasing production capacity and efficiency, strengthening competitiveness in international markets and addressing supply chain challenges.

Shared Data

  • Inventory data
  • Purchase orders
  • Transport and logistics data
  • Technical specifications of components
  • Equipment operational data
  • Spare parts data and its evolution over time
  • Maintenance operation records

Added Value

  • Improved supply chain management.
  • Increased competitiveness in international markets.
  • Optimisation of data value chains.
  • Improved manufacturing processes for airport ground support equipment.
