Working Age – Smart Working environments for all Ages

Project Description:

WorkingAge will use innovative HCI methods (augmented reality, virtual reality, gesture / voice recognition and eye tracking) to measure the emotional / cognitive / health status of the user and create communication paths. At the same time, with the use of IoT, sensors will be able to detect environmental conditions. The goal is to promote healthy habits of users in their work environment and daily life activities to improve their working and living conditions.

By studying the profile of workers (>50 years old) and workplace requirements in three different work environments (Office, Transportation and Manufacturing workers), both profiles (user and environment) will be considered. The information obtained will be used for the creation of interventions leading to healthy aging in and out of the work environment.

WorkingAge will test and validate an integrated solution that will learn the user’s behavior, health data and preferences and, through continuous data collection and analysis, interact naturally with the user. This innovative system will provide assistance to workers in their daily routine in the form of reminders, risk prevention and recommendations. In this way, the WorkingAge project will create a sustainable and scalable product that will enable its users to improve their quality of life by mitigating the impact of aging on their autonomy, working conditions, health and well-being.
